Amnesty International USA

Fighting Bad Guys Since 1961

In 2006, I was asked by Amnesty International USA if I’d be interested in helping them refresh their website. (Spoiler alert: I couldn’t say “yes” fast enough!) That one project kicked off the start of what has grown to be a 10+ year relationship with the Nobel Prize winning human rights organization. Working closely with internal staff and other trusted strategy and development partners, I provide art direction, user experience, and visual design for a smorgasbord of rotating websites, interactive maps, printed brochures, online fundraising campaigns, email templates, banner ads and social media projects.

Whether the need is for high-level user experience strategy or a quick graphic to share on social media, I am able to jump in and provide the right level of support needed to get the job done with grace and speed.

Steve Daigneault – Amnesty

When it comes to interactive design, details matter, and Carey proves her mastery over every detail, from the initial mocks to the final break out files. She put long time agencies to shame with the work she's produced for Amnesty. A true find, I'm always afraid she'll stop freelancing. There's no way we could afford her if she ever chose to go work for a top agency. The best!
